After having a beer at the Relish Gastropub (meh), I went back to our hotel, collected the wife, and started to look for a place for dinner. After playing a game of "drunken sailor" (that being, of course, the practice of making the random decision block to block which way to turn). After managing to stumble through a restaurant desert (which, in retrospect, seems a remarkable achievement), we came across a Best Western with this restaurant as its anchor.
As it was Canada Day, and with the weather being as nice as it was, we elected to sit outside and people watch. Which was a good thing, because we certainly were not lacking for interesting people around us. The table next to us appeared to have two swinging couples - indeed, it took most of our effort to figure out who was with who, and even now I couldn't tell you with absolute accuracy...). As for the food itself, I had the fish and chips, which kept me satisfied for the rest of the evening, as the nation celebrated its anniversary. To wash it down I paid homage to our homeland (California) by having a Red Racer IPA. Not particularly innovative, I do realize, but hey... it got me to enjoy the evening.
So, this is a place where its outdoor atmosphere is more relevant than what they actually serve. Sometimes that's what you need... -

As far as hotel restaurants go, this is about the best that you can expect. They have happy hour from 5-7 with 30% off starters, which is a nice bonus. We split the poutine and salmon burger with greens. The poutine was solid, with a generous amount of short ribs and melty cheese. The house salad had a good ratio of arugula, carrots, cucumbers and radishes and was tossed in a wonderfully tangy vinaigrette. And the salmon burger was the definite highlight! Service was a little slow but they also were a little understaffed, and I wish there were a few more options on the menu. But overall it was a nice place to go after a long day of exploring Vancouver-- especially because we got an extra 15% off because we were staying at the hotel!

First off my wife and I have experienced several visits to this restaurant while visiting Vancouver as it is across the street from the Holiday Inn and I can tell you from experience that I would highly recommend it. Service has been excellent as well as a good variety menu items. They also have a fantastic happy hour as well with outdoor seating which makes for a nice atmosphere.
I must make a special shout out to one server name Jerry who truly made our dining experience even that more exceptional. So if you're looking for good service ask for Jerry. -

Solid. Pancakes weren't that great and bacon was under cooked. But the eggs were cooked perfect and the hash browns were delicious. It was a decent breakfast - nothing to write home about but I left full.

Visiting from Chicago and in here for the first time for lunch. The place had an awesome layout. Lounge seats and awesome service! We sat at the bar and spoke with the bartender. Had a few drinks and had the BBQ Chicken Flat Bread which I highly recommend. Bartender Melvin was awesome and made sure to recommend places for us to visit during our stay here in Vancouver! All in all had a great experience and will be back!
